EARJ Students please read Battlegroud students'posts under Video Reflection

Then answer their questions to you bellow:

Students at Battleground TN, have been talking about the differences between classes in America. They would like to know:

1. Do you have class differences in your city/country? (class differences like poor/middle/wealthy, and more?)

2. How do people know which class they are in? Are there specific limits that tell you where you belong in the class system?

3. Is it possible to move between classes, or do you stay in the same class that you were born in?

Yes and you can tell them apart very easily.

2. How do people know which class they are in? Are there specific limits that tell you where you belong in the class system?
You can tell what class you are in very easily because of the way you see other people and who you hang out with or live around.

3. Is it possible to move between classes, or do you stay in the same class that you were born in?
It is possible to move because if you are in an upper class then you could lose it all, also if you are in the lower class you could get a job to make money and get higher in the classes.

1 Yes we do.
2. They know by how they live if they live in the favelas they are poor and if they live in somewhere like a house then they are a little richer
3. It is possible to move between classes because people could get more money if they have a good job or if they loose money.

1) yes, there are class differences here in rio. they are very distinct, and a bit obvious, if you go to this school, you have money, and if you live in Leblon, you are decently rich. If you live in a favela, you usually aren't as successful.
2) You usually know because of the clothes they wear, where they live, and what school they go to. if they go to school. If you go to the british, or this school, you arent poor. if you live in a favela, you usually arent rich. If you wear torn and dirty clothes, you are not rich either
3)Yes, its possible

We have many different classes, like the rich people that live in Barra, or anyone that lives in a house. A house is very nice here in Brazil. Also there is the poor class of people that live in the favelas. You can tell which class you are in by where you live, or whether the government created your job or not, like bus drivers. It is very possible to drop down in classes because it is very expensive here in Brazil. Also if you work really hard you can go up in classes.

1.Yes, we have the city(middle and upper class).
2.Yes, you now because you can see that when they are poor they have very bad apartment, usually no car and maybe a cellphone
3.You can move around the classes, it is just really hard because it when you are in lower class you can not get a very good education.

yes, everyone has different classes

2. How do people know which class they are in? Are there specific limits that tell you where you belong in the class system?

I think they know by where they live and what kind of house they have.

3. Is it possible to move between classes, or do you stay in the same class that you were born in?

I think people will stay in the almost same class that that person was born in because it is very hard to change classes.
