Newton Moore Progress
Our school has been working on our SMART goals hard the last two weeks and this is what the class has come up with
Mural
Were we will be painting a mural on the natural beauty of the rainforest and then on another canvas show the destruction symbolizing what we want and what we are trying to stop.
Primary School
A group of students will be visiting primary schools in our district teaching the students about deforestaction and deforestation through fun activities like games and making cupcakes. The student will view a slide show made by us students. Hopefully the kids will go tell there parents and the message will spread.
Orangathon
Students will be holding and event on the 10th of December were students of our school will be taken out class by class and be treated with a play and educative activities and team games on the subject of deforestation so the students of our school can be educated and help out.
Mascot
Our mascot is a female Ring Tailed Possum which are endangered and we have one in the school wetlands. It is a female in memory of a female possum in our wetlands which was unfortunately killed by a cat. It's name is Ringlet
