Let's talk about global warming

The impacts of global warming have been the object of scientific research for many years. According to the latest reports and publications, they are supposed to be significant and very expansive. Global warming has already affected the climate, environment, our health and lives. It has severe implications all over the world; however, the kinds and the magnitude of impact at the local levels are different. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the global warming consequences at both broad and local levels.

Why are global warming effects so profound and dangerous? Why should humans save themselves from it? There are a lot of answers and in great part they correspond to the environmental effects caused by this problematic issue. In the first place, there is tendency of sea level rowing all over the world, which increases the risks of coastal floods in relation to communities located in low regions. For example, the average sea level of the planet has grown 8 inches since 1880. The changes in climate which lead to high temperature in summer and spring caused appearance of more harmful wildfires and heat waves. In turn, it may entail serious health problems, heat exhaustion, and increased level of air pollution. Furthermore, global warming effects and high temperatures may cause the widespread of diseases coming from insects and long allergy periods. Other impacts are considered to be frequently occurring flooding. In comparison with the level of storms 50 years ago, today there is a 67% increase in rains in the Northwest, 31% in the Midwest and 15% in the areas of Great Planes. As a result, the food production and supply is very often disrupted, which, in its turn, has driven prices up leaving families without means for leaving.

The effects of global warming in regard to environment should not be underestimated as well. According to the current investigations, many birds have changed their behavior and habitual routes, and, as a result, a lot of its population has died which in the future may lead to the extinction of the species. Furthermore, as the rising of temperature on the earth leads to the temperature growth on the sea surface, the latter can cause irreversible damage to flora and fauna of the seas and oceans, including the rare coral reefs.

The impacts of global warming vary considerably from continent to continent. According to the results of numerous researches, the areas of Europe is endangered by the possibility of inland floods, increased erosion caused by storms and rise of sea level, extensive extinction of species that have died because of climate changes, and decrease in crop productivity. Latin America suffers from rapid replacement of forests by wide savannah, loss of biodiversity, and significant alterations in water supply for human consumption. Furthermore, in Asia region, coastal territories suffer from the substantial flooding. In addition, the rate of deaths from diseases entailed by droughts and floods is supposed to grow as well. The decrease of snowpack level in North America is expected to occur in addition to the growing frequency of large and intensive heat waves in the cities. Eventually, Africa is supposed to be an epicenter of water disasters by 2020. Moreover, scientists state that access to goods and food may be extremely compromised.

The number of impacts of global warming is not limited and tends to increase in the future years due to new researches conducted in different branches. Therefore, at the present time, the governments of the countries should unite and try to find the solution to a very problematic situation threatening the existence of the Earth. Thus, it should be the main tool in fight with climate changes one can speculate now. On the other hand, every human should realize their own responsibility for the sustainable development of the planet and try to minimize their own contribution while provoking problems related to the global warming.

To conclude, global warming has diverse harmful effects on environment in different spheres and they are even considered to be dangerous for the sustainable living of future generations. The only response to his problem is immediate actions aimed at reduction of gas emissions and destruction Earth resources. Otherwise, its impacts will tend to intensify, grow and have even more damaging, costly and harmful effects on the whole planet.
