How FCDS promotes sustainability

Our school is very diligent in promoting sustainability. Our Honors sustainability seminar class spends a lot of time creating signs to post around school encouraging recycling and other sustainable methods. Our class, every Friday, spends 30 minutes picking up trash and gathering recycled materials to take to the dump. This is a large part of how we help to keep this school more sustainable. Our science department is also very involved. They have created solar panels that are used around school to help generate energy used by the science rooms. As we continue to work in this class, we are always coming up with new ideas to help make this school more sustainable.

I find it nice that the students of your school takes some of their own time to help clean up the campus. It is also interesting to know that you school's science department is very involved in the execution of these kinds of projects.
