Destruction of Coral Reefs in the Philippines

The video regarding the destruction of the local coral reefs raised many interesting questions about how we treat our natural environment. I found it amazing how much money was involved in the black market selling these special types of coral and endangered turtles. It is a great idea of the Philippines to enforce agencies to protect the coral reefs as they are homes to many types of fish and aquatic life that is necessary to our environment. The use of patrols is a great start to help cut down on the illegal encroachment on the coral reefs. This is a very interesting topic that has raised questions, not only in the Philippines, but also around the world with other coral reefs.
