Preventing environmental damage.

A few years together some of our students and faculty helped to declare all major carpool areas and parking lots "Idol Free" zones. This means that if a car were to be parked in an "Idol Free" zone for more than a few minutes, it must be turned completely off. This has helped to prevent air pollution in addition to bettering the school's air quality.

As I know of, there are some teachers that carpool, but no students who do so, mainly for security and privacy reasons. I realize the potential reduction to air pollution that carpooling would cause, but for our particular community, students live in far off places that are much separated from each other, and therefore difficult to reach in a small time frame during the morning. However, I like the idea!
