Sedimentation poses a great risk to many freshwater supplies. An example of this is the sedimentation that took place in the Neuse River Basin. Pollutants such as stray garbage, leaves, animal droppings, and chemical fertilizers were washed into the rivers and caused the water to become unsafe to drink or use. Possible solutions to fix this includes the proper disposal of organic waste, the installation of a propper and efficient sewage system, and the lessening of disposal of garbage near and around the river area.

Polluted water is always a big problem because it puts many animal species that live in the water in danger. It is important to try to solve this issue. I agree that proper disposal of organic waste, effective sewage systems, and less disposal of garbage near water are all good solutions.
