About Me

Hi everyone!

My name is Katie, and I joined TIG in June of 2008, and became involved as the volunteer TIGed communications assistant in August 2009. I finished my undergraduate degree in Political Science with a concentration in international relations. During this time, I developed a passion for human rights, as well as independent media and journalism. When I came across TIG, I knew that this was an organization that I had to become involved in.

A little bit about me: I grew up in a small town in Ontario, with a big family! In my downtime, I love writing, reading, drawing, swimming, dancing, and yoga. I love learning, and meeting new people!
