Refugees
As many of you have already said refugees are Asylum Seekers, people who is outside their country of citizenship because they are afraid of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, and is unable to obtain sanctuary from their home country or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail themselves of the protection of that country.
Today Europe is facing a refugee crisis. In 2015 more than 845,000 refugees made the treacherous trip across the Mediterranean Sea into Europe. Over 3,500 men, women and children died while crossing the sea.
